Only four more performances of Shipwrecked left! Wednesday through Saturday night at 7:30 pm (May 18-21, 2011) at ArtsWest.
Don’t miss your chance to see this enchanting show!
” ‘Shipwrecked!’ is not your usual theater experience. Director Christopher Zinovitch stages this fantastical tale in a manner that includes live actors, some puppetry, strange sounds and a stage set composed of bits and pieces used cleverly to create tranquil London homes, tropical islands, underwater scenes, roiling seas, native villages and more.
Playwright Donald Margulies wanted the piece to “celebrate the uniqueness of theater,” and, if you’re willing to enter into its spirit, it does just that. ” - Nancy Worssam – Seattle Times
The reviews have been mostly kind to the show. Here are a few quotes regarding my performance:
- “Doug Fahl is fully invested in this performance, and his delivery is agreeable and charming; we like this guy a lot and want to hear his story.” – Jerry Kraft – Seattleactor.com
- ” ‘Shipwrecked!’ becomes more and more appealing with each passing scene. Fahl moves from amusing to enchanting as his character’s story develops. But his talent truly shines in his character’s darker moments.” – Rose Egge, KOMO West Seattle Communities Reporter
- “Fahl’s performance is as amazing as his character’s adventures. He’s on stage for the entire production, providing most of the dialogue and drawing you into his yarn with sincerity, guile, bravado or pathos, whatever the moment calls for.” - Nancy Worssam – Seattle Times
